The design of the Chapter’s logo went through several rounds of consultations with the members on the Chapter's Dgroup. Consultations were also held in Accra, Ghana on 19 February 2008, during the FARA-RAILS meeting, at which about 11 members of the Chapter participated in the discussion.
The design was revised in July 2011 to take into account the proposed changes to the IAALD main logo.
- IAALD Logo – shows that the Chapter is part of the international IAALD community.
- Map of Africa in gold - represents prosperity, richness and the great potential that the African continent has to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.
- IAALD Africa Chapter in green – the name of the Chapter and the colour green represents self-respect and well being of the Chapter members.
